Meet Your Providers:
Denise Carmack
With over 25 years of experience in the medical field, Denise Carmack, APRN, FNP-BC, brings deep clinical expertise and a personal, attentive approach to primary care. After beginning her career in critical care nursing, Denise became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020 and has since cared for patients throughout the Reno–Sparks community.
Denise believes great healthcare starts with listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain their options, and build relationships that support long-term health. Her commitment to patient-centered care earned her the Spellman Award for Excellent Patient Care at Renown, recognizing providers in the top 10% for patient satisfaction and feedback.
At Western Nevada Primary Care, Denise provides preventive care, chronic disease management, sick visits, medication management, and ongoing primary care for adults. Her goal is simple: thoughtful, approachable care where patients feel heard, informed, and never rushed.
Outside of work, Denise enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loves hiking with her dogs, horseback riding, and taking advantage of the many outdoor activities Northern Nevada has to offer.
APRN, FNP-BC
With over 15 years of experience in healthcare, Lindsey Hall-Nichols, APRN, FNP-BC, brings a broad clinical background and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to primary care. A Reno–Sparks native, Lindsey began her healthcare career as a CNA at age 18 before becoming a registered nurse, spending eight years working in the ICU, surgery, and PACU. After seeing firsthand the growing need for healthcare providers in her community, she became a Family Nurse Practitioner and has spent the past seven years caring for patients of all ages in urgent care.
Lindsey believes great healthcare starts with listening. She takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, make sure they feel heard, and involve them in decisions about their health. She is passionate about preventive care, chronic disease management, and helping patients feel informed and confident in their care.
At Western Nevada Primary Care, Lindsey is excited to build lasting relationships with patients and provide thoughtful, personalized care close to home. Her goal is for every patient to leave feeling heard, informed, and confident in the care they received.
Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and three dogs. She also loves traveling, baking, and enjoying everything Northern Nevada has to offer.

Melanie brings a warm, compassionate approach to her role as a Medical Assistant at Western Nevada Primary Care. She has a genuine passion for helping others and strives to make every patient feel welcomed, comfortable, and supported throughout their visit.
As an older sister, Melanie understands the importance of patience, kindness, and caring for others, qualities she carries into her work each day.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending quality time with her family and boyfriend, attending church, and making memories with the people she loves.
